A Journey with AIP

I was prescribed medication, and took it diligently. About 5 months after delivering my second child, I remember sitting in a treatment room, in tears, asking my PCP what else I could do to help heal my body, and if making lifestyle changes, such as addressing diet and exercise, would be helpful. She flat out told me “No, changing diet and exercise won’t help. This is something you will have to deal with for the rest of your life.” I was crushed. I had been relatively healthy up to this point in my life. And, having, albeit limited, knowledge in the medical field, I felt there had to be more.
