Who is the Proverbs 31 Woman? Do you know who she is? I didn’t. I didn’t know the example God gave us in Proverbs 31:10-31 until one M.O.M.S group so many years ago. There was a woman giving the devotion and talking to us about this woman in Proverbs.
Who is this Proverbs 31 woman??
The more the speaker talked, the more I knew I wanted to find out more about Proverbs 31 and the lessons it had for me. A young mom with one child and only had been married for about 5-6 years at that point, I was anxious to learn all I could.
Fast forward many, many years and I am glad to say I learned more (and more!) about the Proverbs 31 woman. I soaked in the information I was given and loved to glean advice from the Godly women around me. Eventually, my passion for the Proverbs 31 woman encouraged me to write about it. I wrote an eBook called, “31 Days To Becoming The Proverbs 31 Woman”. It is based on a series written for my other blog, Baking With Mom. The series went over well and resonated with women wanting to be the woman, mom and wife God wanted her to be.
It is a struggle juggling all that life throws our way. What a blessing to know that God doesn’t let us go through life without a map or guidelines on how to handle issues that comes our way. No, every possible issue isn’t in the Bible. However, the way for peace is. The way for forgiveness is. The way for trust and belief is written clearly in God’s word.
Do you have a preschooler? We do. Do you have a child in high school? We do too. (A couple in between as well!) Our days are challenging, busy and quite frankly, exhausting.
My husband works full time and is continuing his college education so we is working hard day and night. The kids need to be ran to different activities, we are active in our church and I am running two blogs. Phew! Please remember:
Being busy doesn’t excuse any lack of attention towards God, my husband, my children or my home.
I do believe I can balance it all. With God’s help. With His plan. With His strength.
I want to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Not just to read it once and feel warm and fuzzy for a few moments with good intentions. My goal, my desire is to live my life that will please God. His words through the Bible provide the path to get me to where I need to be. Can I get an AMEN?
