Hey there, I’m Kim!
Some of you know me from my other blog, Baking With Mom. Baking With Mom is a baking blog, featuring simple meals and kitchen deals. Feeding my family of 6 is costly and time consuming, but I strive to make quick and easy meals and save money while doing it!
I enjoy my baking blog. However, another name for a blog kept coming up in my mind: Faithful Family Living. I knew I wanted another blog that name, though I wasn’t really sure what it would be about!
When the latest tax increase happened in the state of Illinois, I realized there has to be other moms like me who want to help save their family money. The cost of living has increased greatly in this great state and families are pinching pennies. I am determined to save money and have fun while doing so. My husband and I want to take trips with our children, fix up our home, spend as little as possible on groceries and not let the current tax situation bother us. All by God’s grace!
Our recent trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama! A family favorite–it was also our 20th anniversary and we honeymooned there. Left to right: Kim, Caleb-5, Cora-11, Ryan-15, Cade-8, William
I am going to share family friendly recipes, our family adventures and travels (read: traveling on a budget and local deals and activities), ways to save locally on home repairs, local events and most importantly, cost savings!
My husband is going back to college to get a bachelor’s degree (as he is continuing to work full time!). In the meantime, I need to cut every corner, budget well and work hard to keep our grocery shopping on task.
Come along with me as I strive to honor God with my role as a wife, mom and His child. Glad to have you here!
